Axert Migraine Medication from Canada (Almotriptan) is a proven effective migraine treatment for adult sufferers of migraine headaches with or without aura. AXERT is available in two doses, 6.25mg and 12.5mg. AXERT is not intended for the prophylactic therapy of migraine or for use in the management of hemiplegic or basilar migraine. Safety and effectiveness of AXERT have not been established for cluster headache, which is present in an older, predominantly male population. AXERT should only be used when you have been diagnosed with migraine. AXERT belongs to a class of drugs known as triptans. These medications have made great strides in the treatment of migraine.
